Would I (could I) be allowed an extra baggage allowance for medical supplies, without an extra cost?

I plan to leave the country for an extended time and would need to take extra supplies with me that I know for a fact cannot be gotten in the country I am going to.

    depends on the airline you are useing.

    most likely you are not allowed extra allowance for medication, if it is that important you are better paying the money for the exess baggage

    Sometimes for carry-on medical supplies aren’t included in your allowance. My mother-in-law travels with a CPAP machine in addition to the regular carry-on allowance.
