Why does my first aid kit include chalk?
I bought a ready-made first aid kit. The kit includes lots of sensible medical supplies such as bandages, iodine, antibiotics etc. But what’s with the sticks of chalk, why is chalk in a first aid kit?

Well the chalk is in there for if you get lost in the woods, jungle, ect. and you have it with you, you can mark the trees or anything else solid to help you keep your path so you dont get anymore lost…or in a survival situation, if you have a stomach ache, you can eat it believe it or not…and it helps absord acid……it is made from an ingredient that is in pepto bismol.lol.

It might be a septic pencil to stop minor bleeding and not chalk at all.

So you can trace the dead body. You see police men and women are getting lazier and lazier on us so they just are giving us the go ahead to start the process without them.

It’s in case you have a hopscotch emergency!
It’s probably a stypic pencil to stop bleeding.

These are just guesses, but…
- Marking purposes, if there is any ’survival kit’ or wilderness aspect to your kit.
- Chalk is calcium carbonate, the main ingredient in things like Tums. Maybe they meant it for a calcium substitute.
- Maybe is is designed to be used to stop small flows, like a styptic pencil
