Why do people think we care that other countries hate America?
I’ve read about 50 million questions here about why this country or that country hates America. So what? Other countries have never loved us — except, of course, when we were smashing the dictators and madmen that Europe seems to embrace with maddening regularity.
Yeah, we *do* meddle in affairs overseas, because when we don’t, we wind up getting pulled into even *bigger* messes (like World Wars I and II)). But with all the hate coming from around the world, I’m beginning to think that we should have never involved ourselves in WWII — we should have let the Nazis and the Communists destroy Europe and then Asia, fortified ourselves over here, and let the rest of the world go to pot. In fact, I’m sort of getting to the point where I’d like to see us call all troops home, cut off all foreign aid and medical supplies, call in all debts, roll up the welcome mat, and stay home for the next century and let France and Canada pay the bills for a while.
I’m becoming more and more isolationist. We should stop sending other countries ANYTHING — stop meddling COMPLETELY — and send NOTHING overseas — no food, no medicine, no technology, no jobs, no foreign aid, NOTHING. Let’s keep it all here at home and build our own stockpiles of resources and supplies and to Hell with the rest of the world.

Well you just explained American foreign policy,your leaders do not care who hates you just what resources they can take from them and isn’t it time you stopped using WW2 as an excuse for financing dictators and invading oil rich countries???? mr nice

You may not care but others out there may .Not everything is USA a lot of ppl like to travel to other countries for a vacation let´s say, and the fact of ppl not liking americans may turn into a not very warm welcoming to those countries they travel to, nobody is saying messing into wwII was a mistake from the USA yeah it helped a lot, ppl is fousing thou on what is happening now, Bush is what others don´t like and ppl who think Bush is right Back to wwII everybo hated hitler (even americans) cuz he and his followers tought they were right , better said they had the right to do what they were doing, same thing is hap+pening now with Bush.Anyway I could take hours with this subject.

The Conservatives don’t care who hates them, and they really believe they are un-touchable. The biggest portion of them are filthy rich, and they treat people terrible. America trusted George Bush and he has lied ever since, and he is one of them. Most of them have never worked a real job or a day in their lives. The Conservative like to live off of everybody Else’s labor and efforts. I personally think our whole Nation would improve if we just got rid of them. Lucinda_B

Unfortunately, for many, you are not president, and not much of what you think should happen, will happen. Just the fact that you would describe WWII as a “bigger mess”, gives you away, as an all-american type of guy. Having said that, cannot wait to see your reply…:D xemicangirl

Well, I would mind it if other countries hated mine. You are right that the USA should be loved more, but I guess you’re the easiest country to hate, as you are in control.

What makes you think that other nations care how US seemes to look at themself from a forigners perspective? Looking back at the last 50 years US have armed many of the dictators that they later have been forced to fight. Saddam Hussein is an excellent example.
What do you think will happend to US if you pull home all troops close the borders and reject any kind of trade. First of all US will go into a huge oil crisis since US reject to export anything as you suggest. People will get frustrated and any company that export from the US will get ruined. An total economical implosion.
US will fall apart within 5 to 10 years if you get your will through. Stefan

i said u and not all Americans BC i know that there are Americans who care about other people
and i do not judge a majority of people BC there a couple of bad guys like many western people do with Arabs or Muslims lucky
