alcohol use to sterilize things would not have been in short supply as no one would protest that as it is not safe to drink.

What medical purpose does alcohol serve??

  9. Carolyn M Says:

Geraldine Ferraro ran as VP Candidate with Walter Mondale in the 1984 election but we have not actually had a female VP.

  10. kj722006 Says:

there are no female vice presidents and no.

  11. Matt Says:

There has never been a female Vice President of the United States of America. There has, however, been a Democratic nominee (Geraldine Ferraro) whose Dukakis ticket lost the 1984 election by a wide margin to Ronald Reagan and George HW Bush.

As for alcohol, I would argue that alcohol was not in that short of supply during prohibition to begin with, so that is harder to answer.

We haven’t had a female vice president yet. We had a woman running for the position in the 1984 election - Geraldine Ferraro.
And no, alcohol for medicinal purposes was not illegal during Prohibition.

Though many other countries have had female vice presidents the USA has never had one.

Alcohol was illegal for consumption during prohibition Bootleggers and runners made a fortune during this time. Prohibition created an incredible shortage of alcohol, briefly, because government attempted to control not its price, but its supply. That shortage didn’t last long of course, any more than the shortage of drugs lasted, because entrepreneurs supplied the merchandise, but at higher cost to the users. Alcohol consumption increased dramatically during prohibition.

There has been no female VP.

The alcohol used for sterilization is not the same as what you drink. In fact it’s quite toxic and cannot be drunk. So this supply is completely separate from booze.
