look for a government hospital or charity home.

Check with your local PD, pharmacy, hospital or medical facility. DO NOT FLUSH IT OR PUT IT IN YOUR TRASH. If you do it will end up in the ecosystem. I live in the SF area and many of our local PD’s have a box you can place the meds in and they will be properly disposed of. The disposal of med’s is treated just like haz-mat.

Nurses and physicians most commonly dispose of un-used medication through the toilet.
