The cheaper ones won't come with all the bells and whistles like the One Touch with all the ways to download graphs on your computer, but what you need is an affordable way to test your blood sugar. It's essential that this gets tracked, don't say it can't be afforded. I personally think I would rather have a lifetime of medical bills than be dead. She should call the ADA in your area..Talk to her doctor about a free glucose monitor Her doctor does have resources. Her pharmacist may be able to help her. Look on the box of a glucose meter to see if there is a 1800 number for the manufacturer call it ,alot of times the company will issue a free meter and test strips.
