What supplies do you keep on your bike at all times?

medical supplies
Dan asked:

Emergencies, Repairs, Medical, EDC (every day carry), etc…
Thought about it? Yes. But I have a cheapie scooter, that’s it. No real bike yet. One day I will, it’s where my heart beats but has not yet been. But I cannot afford one for a couple more years, at least. Bankruptcy. Right now, I’m just learning and getting info for the scooter and of course, for the future bike of my dreams. Lol.

Hey Dan, I’ve noticed you’re posting a lot of questions on here. Have you considered joining a bike forum? The one I use is below. There’s great chat and camaraderie.

(Edit) The modified link will take you straight to Scooters and Mopeds. Note well the motto!!

    Rain gear, flashlight.

Rain gear, roadside flashers (more for stopping to assist other riders as I have never broken down). cell phone, sidestand cookie, suntan lotion, extra shield for the helmet-I always carry both a day time tinted and a clear for night riding shield. One is always on the helmet and the other is sitting in a saddlebag in a nice cushioned pouch.

I carry a basic tool kit, in left saddle bag guard. Sun glasses, safety glasses for nigh time. In wind shield bag.

Depending on the weather, rain gear. Leather jacket, chaps for the cold nights. Change in cloths in case I get some over night action, in left saddle bag.

Sunscreen, pens, paper, pony tail holders, smell nice, hair brush, spare change, condoms, extra skull cap. In right side saddle bag Guard.

Battery booster pack for spring and fall, some rags, water, oil, rope, straps and tie-downs.In right side saddle bag.

In summer, my back seater will use the left side saddle bag for her stuff. My stuff goes in the right side saddle bag.

If I know I’m going to get rained on. I will strap a full faced helmet on the luggage rack.

I ride the back roads as much as I can. If I break down, I may have to walk a lot of miles for help.

Tire repair kit and pocket tire pump.
If tube type tires - the tools to remove the wheels from the bike and tire irons.
I hide some $ on the bike (in case I lose my wallet w/credit cards).
Hiding a spare key on the bike can be a life saver.
I hide keys on my car for that same reason - came in handy more than once!
A good spot on a scooter - pull up the floor board mat - no tools required.

I carry a pair of rain pants.
    All I need.

  8. Pbear Says:

Although I dont always have this on my bike, a good thing to have are some bandaids and some hydorgen peroxide. Should you crash and burn, hydrogen peroxide is one of the best things to use to clean out the wound, and all really have to do is cover the affected area.
