What medical conditions may cause me to cough as the weather become cooler?

I have this nagging cough which occurs whenever the weather becomes cooler? Yes, some sputum comes up when I cough. I was just wondering if anyone knows what type of medical conditions may be causing this, it very annoying?

It could be asthma. Asthma is triggered by different things in different people. Cold air can be a trigger for an asthma attack. Matt A
