To answer your questions:

1) yes
2) yes
3) Maybe
4) Probably not
5) Not anymore than currently
6) No more than now

How bad 1 and 2 will be will depend on how much of the Antarctic ice cap melts. But it will not happen all at once, but instead gradually over time so we will have time to adapt.

A few theories explain that it is not the end of the world, but it will be the end of civilization and probably of the human kind.
Ice melting will cause unbalance of Earth surface weigh forced by Sun gravity toward Earth. It would make that geographic poles (north -south axis) will move probably through Pacific-Indic area.
Poles axis would be closer to Hawaii and America west coast -South Africa. NE USA and West Europe would become more tropical, among other effects.

Not a theory but a fact that is happening already is that poorly developed species (for example bacteria) will evolve (mutations), grow and probably kill easier to bigger and more developed species (such as humans). Because different behaviours of K and r species under changing agressive conditions.

haha! I think that humans are fairly resilient. Here's the thing, the world is in a constant flux- so if you ask some older people about the world when they grew up in, it will most likely be very different from the world that we know today. We will still find ways for things to work.
