How can I heal cuts without any medical supplies in hand?

Hi, what brings me to this question is that while at the mall with my friends, a friend of mine was in the arcade and got a cut from a rusty steel bar. He was bleeding badly and quickly and since there was no rubbing alcohol I remeber my mom using perfume to help disinfect so I did the same and I helped him until medical attrention arrived. So my thought is god forbid if I’m in a situation where there is no medical supply like rubbing alcohol and I have to help someone with a big gash or something deep how can I help or heal it?
