One agency I know our government calls on in times of crisis also works tirelessly around the world meeting a variety of needs. This and other disaster relief agencies may be worth contacting if you don't find what you're looking for. I'd contact only those that are well-known and have sterling reputations, though. If this resource is not what you're looking for in this particular situation, you'll still find the following website interesting, I think. The Peruvian Congress awarded a Medal of Honor to ADRA International in '05. ADRA has been working in Peru since 1965. They are in many other South American countries, too.
