It's not frowned upon in the least. In today's world their are many non-traditional students..some of us may need to work, therefore we spend time in a less expensive cc school. Or there are those that trashed early education and need to pull rank before getting into a university. What 's important is the progress made and the ability to keep it steady. They take note of this...If you think your doctor was an A student think again, chances are he spent time in a cc. or had freshman probation. I've made many mistakes...leading me to one of the top medical universities. They understand more then you know. Bottom line ...if she's smart, she'll make it...& should be proud of where she came from. What it comes down to is ability, Despite my mistakes and slacker grades, when it comes down to health science -I was born with a gift..and I'm mature enough to take on the ability now...make her gift shine through to admissions and she'll have no problem. She can write her own ticket in Bio..high demand for a woman. Good luck *** PS would you want to retake classes? Come on mom...nothing's that bad..have some faith in her....and one more thing...talk to her..so she doesn't have to stay up late venting to strangers-LOL ahhh feel better now ...good night!

It won't be a big deal assuming she gets a bachelors. It is a relatively common practice. Maybe some of the super selective colleges would notice, but most will not notice.
