How do private or concierge doctors get medical supplies?

medical supply
mr.jeef asked:

I’m not familiar with doctors whatsoever, but I was wondering how private or concierge doctors get their supplies, equipment, machines, drugs, and all that. Isn’t there insurance issues? Companies can’t just give supplies like these to anyone?

If it’s the same as a regular doctor then I guess I don’t know how they do it really..

Thanks

Any doctor in private practice (meaning not in a situation like a hospital where things are provided), orders their medications, supplies etc from medical suppliers (there are several). You often have to provide a medical license, DEA license or even a business license depending on what is being ordered. Some items are rented under a rental contract. These items are purchased, you do not get them given to you. No insurance issues.
