If this is too long for you to read, then skip to the bottom.

Don't worry about not having medical supplies; healing depends on how healthy the person is, rather than what's available.

Make sure that you prevent infection of the wound; if it becomes infected then it will heal much slower - To ensure that infection does not occur you must clean it gently every day with water and non-irritant soap [Do not scrub or apply much pressure, this will only worsen the injury]

Once the wound is clean, use an anti-septic cream - This will sanitize the wound of infections and stop further infections from spreading. Once the wound has been cleaned lightly wrap a clean, breathable bandage around it [This will stop dirt and most forms of dust from getting into the wound]. Replace this bandage every time you re-apply the anti-septic.

To speed up the rate of recovery will require you to have a high protein and vitamin/mineral diet - Eating healthily will cause your body to heal much faster. I suggest eating around 20g of protein every 3 hours or so, also eat 5 fruit/vegetables a day and take vitamin supplements.

Exercise will also help, however do not perform any exercises that will move the skin where the wound is [This is especially important if the wound is located near a joint, or worse will, ON a joint - if this is the case then avoid moving that joint as much as possible]

========================
In Short:

-Clean your wound, apply anti-septic and light bandages
-Eat healthy
-Exercise, but don't move the skin near the wound

========================

Hope this helps

if it is a bad gash you will want to find some piece of fabric to tie around it. if you have a bandana or something that will work great, and they are good to have on hand. you will want to tie it with the wound as closed as possible with enough pressure to hold it closed and stop the bleeding. you do not have to put alcohol on things although it helps with sterilization.

if there is something stabbed into a person do not remove it, and instead wrap the area around the wound with pressure. the object could be keeping the bleeding subdued.

clean things with soap and water as best you can if you have that opportunity.

Mud is a good way to keep it from infection until it can be thoroughly cleaned. Just make sure to wash it out real well after you do. The best thing to do to stop bleeding is to tie above it with a ripped piece of clothing. this keeps from major blood loss, but also is dangerous. Immediately remove it if their arm feels numb. To clean the blood, try applying sugar water to the wound. Artificial sweeteners will not work, but most food courts have sugar packets available. The most important thing to do is to remain calm. Panicking makes the situation seem twice as bad. I hope you never have to be in the position to have to deal with stuff like this again, but best of luck if you do.

One way is to use any cloth even if it a piece of your shirt and soap it up with soap . the soap can act as a means to draw infection out of the cut. Using more cloth wrap it around the wound tightly to hold the cut together . Be careful not to cut of the circulation. years ago before antibiotics people in the country used to use soap and sugar plasters to reduce and draw poison out
