Going through airport security with a zofran pump?

medical supply
lsg84 asked:

I will be flying in a couple of weeks but I am currently using a zofran pump. What should I expect as far as going through security at the airport? Am I limited on the # of medical supplies that I can bring on the plane? Can I walk through the xray? Please don’t tell me to talk to my dr/nurse, I will. I want to hear from people that have experience with this. Thanks!

Never traveled with such a pump. but do travel regularly with a CPAP breathing machine. You carry the medical item as carry-on luggage. The machine is taken out and x-rayed (and usually trace explosives tested) separately, just like a laptop computer.

If you need to carry medical liquids of more than 3 ounces with it, TSA recommends you have a prescription or doctor’s note. Patrick D
