Jennifer asked:

Say I use my insurance card to get a check up or buy medical supplies, do the insurance company keep records of what I do with my card and can people like my family access that information?

they probably do have records, for billing purposes. no one should be able to access that info. unless they have a power of attorney, or health proxy. and if you call your insurance company to specify that no one be allowed to access that information, then that should help that no one will be able to access the info .

Yes they keep records, and no you family cant access it. The only way I would say they could is if they medical or durable power of attorney over you and you cantt make your own decisions due to death or serious injury (coma etc)

Yes, they keep a record of it - but only the policy subscriber, or your legal guardian, can get ahold of it.

NO…and no. So your parents won’t know that you got birth control pills. But, you’ll want to fill the prescription at a pharmacy different than the one they use.
