the only solution i have is to help those who cannot afford or help themselves, because we gain nothing by leaving them behind to die just because they couldn’t afford health care.

Here’s a good solution; take Health Care out of corporate control.

Our Health Care and it’s costs are extremely embarrasing. We’re in the bottom of the International scale. Hell, second world countries have better Health Care than us. What does that say about us???

I want you to look at an outline of those 50 million people. Most of them are the lower middle class and poverty strucken people who’re working two or three jobs and can’t afford it. And they’ll never be able to afford it as long as corporations are wanting a buck.

If you came up with a Universal Health Care system for people to choose from, then it’d be a lot better. Let them choose between private and Universal. It’d be like the post office. If you don’t like them, use FedEx or UPS.

countries like canada, and the U.K have around the same tax rate if not less than the united states and they can pay for their citizens healthcare..the United States’ problem lies with its retarded use of tax payers money for instance wars, prisons, and building weapons. do we need to build over a 1000 nuclear bombs?? is there a reason for that?? should a drug dealer get the same amount of jail time as a murderer?? wut it boils down to is that the U.S spens assloads of money or unnecessary things

Guiliani has a plan to give tax credits to everyone for an amount large enough to cover the cost of insurance. I think 1400/yr. for singles and 3500/yr. for families, but am not sure of the exact amount.

That way, we would still have the ability to choose our provider and there would still be a healthy amount of competition within the industry, as nothing else would really change.

    I think it’s a great idea.

Scenic Point - it has been pointed out to you here that NOBODY is advocating a system that removes freedom of choice in your healthcare provider.
I can only assume you have some agenda in continuing to misrepresent this.
Guiliani’s plan simply feeds the system that results in the highest costs of health care in the world - yet the lowest standard of any developed country.

America have a health problem, not a health care problem. Maybe people should put down the bag of Doritos and run around the block a few times before crying that the government should pay for the treatment of the diseases they have because they are overweight.

While it’s not perfect, America has the best health care system in the world.

Ten billion in Iraq, try six hundred billion and counting. Here’s a suggestion, make health care not for profit. Health care borders on the bounds of being unethical as long as it is for profit and many involved step over those limits. When a person with the title of CEO can pull out tens of millions of dollars a year in compensation from a company but a person who has been involved in an auto accident and can’t afford to have their injuries taken care of properly, something is wrong. People with insurance think they have it made, while in reality they are being bilked even more then those without. I dated an emergency room/critical care nurse for a couple of years. She told me of doctors who would pick up a chart and the first thing they would check was to see if the person had insurance, if they did, a barrage of tests were ordered, whether needed or not. If they had no insurance, the minimal amount of care was given them. Insurance companies in turn do everything in their power to pay as little as possible and the “insured” is left holding the remainder of the bill. Not for profit would be a giant step in the right direction.
