Auguston asked: If first nations communities are not able to become legal villages and get the same financial benefits as the rest of their country?
Like safe water, medical supplies, and decent schools and hospitals (those areas are basically a 3rd world country inside the first world).
I don’t understand, please explain because it upsets me that those people have to suffer like this in a rich country especially.
The point of the question was about why first nations people are not able to live a better life in the places they choose to live (I just needed a catchy question title).
First nations people = Indians for the ignorant.

wisemancumth asked: and their support for National health care. Since 90% of medical equipment and supplies are made from petroleum products I guess if doctors are forced to use wood, stone and sheep skins that will save a lot of money.
Melissa me. I never said the war was or wasn’t for oil, but if it is was it would be justified.
why cant you liberals answer a question without swisting it around to make it about Conservatives?
Mel, you accuse me of reaching then start spewing like that? More hypocrisy.

Justin asked: I always thought the liberals hated big corporations and monopolies.
The AMA has been running the medical monopoly in America for over 100 years. This group has been keeping the supply of doctors low in order to ensure that doctors are paid hefty salaries.
If Liberals really wanted to “free up” our healthcare system, wouldn’t it make more sense to bust up this monopoly and allow more freedom in the area of doctor licensing?

Sophie B - I am currently in medical school. The AMA sets limits on the number of students a medical school can accept. You also cannot apply for medical school unless you go through the AMA’s application service, which costs hundreds to thousands of dollars to use.

Just Plain American asked: Or better yet, just build a network of non-profit hospitals that will accept any type of insurance?
What I am asking is that the simple solution is to simply say that hospitals can not charge you a certain percentage over the amount of what a drug or medical supply would cost above its retail cost. Would that seem like the most logical solution to the whole mess?

Simplekindoflife asked:
Here’s where I get confused - When you go to the doctor - not only are you being charged for thier time, but you are being charged for the things that they use - tongue depressors, cotton balls, tweezers, paper on the beds - ect. So considering cotton balls for the doctor’s office cost 200 times more than those that the store - don’t medical supply companies have some responsibility in the costs going up - After all they do get passed on to the consumer. Some how things like this remind me of the Reagan years when the govt spent $700 for a hammer.

Lemanski’s Ghost asked:
The problem with rising medical costs seems to be the consumer only pays a dollar for every five dollar increase when they have insurance. Why not bring free market supply and demand back where people won’t go to doctors who charge more than their services are worth?

LoveYa! asked: On June 30, the government of Israel committed an act of piracy when the Israeli Navy in international waters illegally boarded the “Spirit of Humanity,” kidnapped its 21-person crew from 11 countries, and confiscated the cargo of medical supplies, olive trees, reconstruction materials, and toys for Palestinian children.
What do you think Israel did with the toys?

Hello asked: I AM respectful that NATO commits VAST amounts of troops to the war on terror in AFGHANISTAN… and that some country’s committments are in placing thier troops in less-threatening situations, but, they are STILL THERE contributing to the job at hand.
A Factory needs many workers on the line before the final product comes off it.
Is there a website where I could possibly gather an audit of the CIVILAIN food aid, medical supplies and vital shelter that’s contributed by EACH NATO Member group, because it seems to me, that the only people getting credit for giving food aid and vital supplies is the USA, UK and well known Charities, although I know other countries send food and other emergency aid.
It is THIS information I am searching for in my research..

playtoofast asked:
HAVE we lost the ability to provide for all americans ?
I am speaking of providing jobs that pay a wage capable of supplying a family with the basic needs all of us have .
MILLIONS of americans are forced to rent homes and will never own one .
WITH the economy driven to supply only a small percentage of americans with the jobs that pay enough to own homes and enjoy a comfortable living .
So many americans make large amounts of income while millions can not afford the basics .
WHAT you earn is yours but have our values changed when the best incomes are in marketing products , law suites ,defending against petty drug charges ,and providing cheap retail goods to america .Americans have only so many jobs to choose from .
MOST are low paying service jobs .IT is true that anyone can start a cleaning service and provide 10 workers and manege them rather then work .BUT does this continue the current thinking of feeding off the workers and not providing meaningfull work in manufacturing goods
