I’m not sure if they have one but when I was watching Royal Pains on USA he was checking up on this girls boyfriend and he told her that she has a problem: of looking at too much information of medical stuff - like diseases, sickness, etc. And he said a medical term, that when someone looks at too much medical stuff.

If anyone knows what I’m talking about from seeing that tele show and that episode and what that medical term was called it would be very appreciative.

If that medical term is even real.

I tried the THC test kit from walmart (crap) and it didn’t work. The daughter freaked out and broke anyway. The test showed negative. We bought the ones from a medical supply place, for like $1.50 each but never got to use them.
Anybody ever use them?
I figure this question might help the parents bust their kids.

My last roommate had to have a pick put in so he could get factor everyday because he is a hemophiliac. As a result, he had to have gloves, bandages, dressings alcohol swabs, syringes, etc delivered. When he moved out, he left 2 boxes full of supplies. We contacted him yesterday the other day and he said he didn’t need them. Do you think the local hospitals would accept them or is there some organization out there that can use them? I would feel bad throwing it all away but it is taking up space.
They’re the little syringe things without a needle on them.

To apply for life insurance, do you only have to supply the past 5 years of your medical history?

Brian M asked:

I’m a cancer survivor, last diagnosed back in 2002. I’ve been “in the clear” since completing treatment in the spring of 2003. I tried to apply for life insurance just before the 5-year mark after completion of treatment, and was denied coverage. I heard at one point that once you pass 5 years since your last cancer, you don’t need to supply that information if applying for life insurance. Is this true? I have my suspicion that information was confused there, that it’s merely a better chance to obtain life insurance at a better cost if it’s been 5+ years since last diagnosis. I have a long health history prior to the cancer 6 years ago, so it is my hope that I can go by only supplying my family doctor’s records from the past several years, so I have a better chance at getting coverage. But, I don’t want to scam the system either. Any advice on whether full health history needs to be provided would be greatly appreciated!
