Lindsey W asked:

I need medical coverage that covers prescription pills (brand name because there is no generic), possible hospitalization and ambulance. I rarely need to visit a physician, and I have already been diagnosed. I don’t make a lot of money, but I am not eligible for MediCal or MSI. Blue Cross is too expensive and will not cover my pre-existing condition.

asked:

My husband has been having trouble going to the bathroom. Every once in a while he will have a bowl movement that is very large and painful for him to pass. He is an otherwise healthy man who has a regular, normal size diet. This doesn’t happen all of the time. We have tried to add more fiber into his diet but it doesn’t seem to be helping. Does anyone know what kind of medical conditions can cause this?

Is there any medical conditions that can be caused by being emotionally devastated? If it helps, something similar to what happened to Bella in New Moon. If you can, use the medical term.

Getting better medical supplies from GP?

me + books + music = happy asked:

I need advice on hows best to approach my GP regarding getting better equipment for my medical condition.

I currently use butterfly needles for my subcutaneous infusion, and have been told to ask for an alternative as butterflies are too painful and intrusive. It has been recommended I have Thalaset or Softset needles, I have asked the district nurse but she said I’d have to refer back to my GP. I know he is going to say I will have to have them on prescription because they are more expensive than butterflies, but I don’t see why I should pay! How do I approach this, and get round having to pay for NECESSARY medical supplies?

(There is a drug I could have instead of the sudcut infusion, but I have to have the infusion “because of lack of funding, that is why I am adamant I am not paying for the needles on prescription, if I have to pay, I want it to be for the oral version of the stuff I have to have injected for 12 hours!)
It infuriates me that there is a post code lottery regarding drugs and equipment, perhaps I could try another PCT? or does it have to be the PCT for the area you live?

Thanks, Doc, the catheters are sealed and in original sealed boxes and packages.

The field of vision breaks into fragments and sometime narrows. This can accompany a migraine headache or occur alone without the headache pain. What are medical of common terms for this visual effect? Can you supply some links. Thanks.
