Dr Peace asked: I’ve donated to Dr. Without Borders, Green Peace, etc, but would like to start my own non-profit.
First Step: I will start mailing (to reputable hospitals/clinics) MEDICAL LOVE PACKAGES which will include medical supplies meant to save lives.
1) I’d like to send powered drips (if they exist), condoms, pain killers, medicine to kill pain so doctors/surgeons can perform minor/major surgery, vitamins, liquid protein, etc.
Anyone with the exact medical definition, locations to buy such supplies, suggestions on packaging for delivery to Africa, etc, please advise. Anyone interested in teaming up on this endeavor, don’t hesitate to email me. I am so tired watching our leaders spend TRILLIONS (wasted, usually) while people in Africa, are dying, in some cases, when they just need a .50 cent medicine! It’s insane, and although I’m surely not a rich person yet, I will do what I can to change our world. Thanks for your time.

Sam n asked: I’m working on a proof-of-concept device for a tech ed course which would provide medical stats through external or other non invasive techniques like optical sensors or galvanic skin response.
I know the heart rate can be detected and I’m pretty sure blood pressure can be through means like this. What other information can be acquired through external means and done so electronically I guess?

SweetLuv asked: I recently couldn’t decide on whether to major in English or Art as an undergraduate. I found an interdisciplinary program at my university that emphasizes theatre, english, and art! I’m really excited about it because I can do it all now and not have to be an undergrad for 6 years.
Here’s the dilemma:
How do Medical Schools view interdisciplinary degrees? Do they look down on it? I was planning to double major in the interdisciplinary program AND accounting. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

My friend is a doctor in Japan. He has gone through medical school and everything. Is there some sort of test that he needs to take to practice medicine in America, or does he just need to be able to speak English?

The Positronic Pimp asked: Hi all.
What medical illnesses/conditions/infections would prevent a person from working in a pharmaceuticals manufacturing environment?
I am asking because a relative has been offered a job in a pharmaceuticals manufacturing environment, but require some kind of medical clearance before he can commence. He most likely have one or two STI from his sexual relationships. Is that likely to show up in a medical clearance / affect his chances of getting the job?

I am planning on applying to medical school sometime in the next year or two, but I am retaking at least three classes. I am wondering how would those retakes impact my application? Has anyone been through this situation?
