Although this information is covenant it is not always necessary, Adoptive parents do not have all of the medical history for their children and they grow up just fine. If your Ex had something such as Diabetes then yes it would be very helpful to know this however something like that would be very hard for you not to already know.

Your Ex is using this as a wedge by forcing you to fight for it. You should really ask your self , is it worth fighting with him, not only the cost but the emotional trauma as well for something that is not “Necessary” And his lack of giving you this information is no reflection on how good of a mother you are, but that fact that he caring more about wining a fight then caring for his daughter.

This is a horrible story but it should prove my point. My cousin was date raped, and ended up with a baby. She couldn’t face the man to get his full medical history She just couldn’t do it. The Baby ended up with a heart disorder that eventually required an operation once this kid’o turned 5. The thing is that even if she had the info it wouldn’t have stopped Jason’s heart defect or even given anyone a heads up about it. He was just born that way. He is now a wonderful extremely HEALTHY well cared for little boy who just turned 9. And the so called Father has never contributed any information about his history. Our doctor says that is fine, it would have been helpful but its not necessary.

Millions of moms don't have this info and the children do just fine. I think you're trying to control him because you're mad.

Why'd you have a child with a man when you don't know the slightest thing about him?

In every U.S state you can have the courts force the father to supply his medical history. Talk to a lawyer in your state as the methods of doing this varies considerably.
