Maganda asked: Please help me how to get medical and dental supplies. I hope you don’t mind. Please, don’t suspend me for seeking such help to make this noble mission a reality. It will be this coming November already. Thank you.
oh, I don’t have a name. It’s just my personal noble mission wherein I save money for the medicines and once I have them, I buy the medicines and then save again for the transportation and food of the volunteer doctors. Actually, this will be my 4 personal medical mission. And as of today, I was able to get food and shelter for the volunteer doctors and myself.
I am not a drug dependent. Actually I don’t have drugs in my blood. I am just doing a natural healing for my pains and sickness. And everytime the doctor prescribed me to take medicines, I am allergic to medicines. This noble mission is my only way to help my people here in the Philippines. Thank you. GOD BLESS US ALL.
I was able to get the approval of the University of the Philippines - Manila Ugnayang Pahinungod. Everytime I go on a Mission I always request for volunteer doctors.

S. government that city would have been rebuilt by now. there are people still living and dying in shelters with not enough food and water and medical supplies. it is a pathetic sad look at reality in the U. S. and President Bush, “you suck. wake up and help your people” ……….. from Lennerd ( * O * )!!!!

sephienie asked: Hello!
I’m working on a Star Trek story that I developed watching the last movie, most of it takes place in the medical bay, however, I’m not entirely sure what everything is called in terms of medical supplies and communication technology.
For instance, in the new movie, when they would do the ship wide communications on that computer monitor looking screen that could be paused, replayed, etcetera, what is that thing called? What can you do on them? Do Enterprise crew members have screens like those in their personal quarters, video phones?
None of the episodes I catch on tv really answer my questions.
Are all beds in the sick bay out in the open? Are there private areas of medical bay?
Are their devices to assist the doctors if they’re working under attack? Most times when you watch the show, people get thrown around quite easily when the ship takes hits, what happens in medical bay? If you’re being operated on, are you just out of luck or is there a gravity that will kick in?
Memory Alpha and Beta have a lot of info but few pictures when it comes to this kind of stuff. Any chance of sites that have scenes with labels on them? Like those guide books that come out with movies now that line up the characters are point out various items of interest? PotC had one that said about the bead on Jack’s forehead was his piece of eight, and the tattoo was a brand of east india, those kind of guide books?
Help please???

Proud Libertarian asked: I know there is a lot of contention about government funding an increased portion of medical costs at the moment. Putting that aside, lets think about supply and demand. I assume most of you with even a basic grasp of economics will agree that increasing the supply of medicine will make medicine more affordable for everybody. What do you think about the following options to increase the supply of medical services?
1 Allow more certifications of universities to offer medical degrees. They would of course have to meet standards, but more doctors need to be trained.
2 Allow more doctors educated over seas in non US accredited programs to practice medicine here…After they have proven through testing to be competent.
3 Allow more lower tier medical professionals do some of the more rudimentary work doctors do now. Do you really need to pay a doctor $300 an hour to do some stitches a nurse ends up doing anyhow?
4 Allow more drugs to be OTC rather than by prescription only which would save us the need of a $300 doctor visit to get a prescription for a $30 medication our pharmacist could tell us all about.
5 Legal reform that protects doctors so they don’t have to recommend testing that is primarily ordered to shield them against litigation.
6 Up front quotes. Doctors and hospitals would have to give you a relatively accurate quote about what various services will cost prior to giving those services (when at all possible).
