Jess Lynch asked:
I recently gave birth to my first daughter and while in hospital we were given ‘patient cleansing wipes’ to change the baby’s nappy and wash her with. They are basically dry baby wipes (sort of woven) and they are the most fantastic thing I have ever come across, so versatile, I used them for washing, changing her nappy, also useful when she was sick and as a burping cloth. I am dying to get hold of them, please if somebody in the medical trade could help!! I am planning on buying a job lot of them!

Emergencies, Repairs, Medical, EDC (every day carry), etc…
Thought about it? Yes. But I have a cheapie scooter, that’s it. No real bike yet. One day I will, it’s where my heart beats but has not yet been. But I cannot afford one for a couple more years, at least. Bankruptcy. Right now, I’m just learning and getting info for the scooter and of course, for the future bike of my dreams. Lol.

Eric D asked:
My 1 year old daughter has been wheezing a lot lately and the doctor prescribed her proventil (an inhaler) and a spacer with a mask to deliver the puffs (since she is incapable of following instructions to use a regular inhaler). Insurance wouldn’t cover the spacer, so I ended up paying $71.99 for it at CVS. Then, when I got home, I looked up the spacer online and found it for sale widespread for $28! It seems like the pharmacy has price gouged here, did they not? After all, people tend to go to pharmacies for these types of things when they have an urgent or emergency situation. Why not jack up the price 3x the normal amount? I’m angry right now, is there anything I can do?

SoBelle asked: 2) Do you know how much malpractice insurance cost?
3) Do you know how much supplies are?
4) Do you know why more test are performed?
5) How many times have you said…..I should just “sue” so and so? if even not a physician or hospital.
6) Do you know how many hours a physician really works?
7) Have you ever seen a doctor in the wee morning hours in an emergency room?

Have you seen the newspaper ads by lawyers now saying if you took all these kinds of different drugs to call them and you can sue someone now?
Just wondering about this so thank you.
lol..I work in a medical office just wondering if anyone else had a clue about any of these questions

Justin asked: “Government regulation and subsidy constitutes a threat to both the quality and availability of patient-oriented health care and treatment. Hospitals, doctors, and other health care providers should be accountable to patients–not to politicians, insurance bureaucrats, or HMO Administrators.
If the supply of medical care is controlled by the federal government, then officers of that government will determine which demand is satisfied. The result will be the rationing of services, higher costs, poorer results–and the power of life and death transferred from caring physicians to unaccountable political overseers…”
“I also oppose any legislation, such as Homeland Security Bill, H.R. 5005, which seeks to authorize the forced vaccination of American citizens against small pox. The government should not have the power to force people to receive immunizations or vaccinations. ”

Bruce K - show me a developed country with socialized healthcare that isn’t losing money…
EVERY single country that has instituted “free healthcare” has eventually had to make cutbacks in services in order to pay for everything.
(I lived in Sweden - the so-called shining star of socialized medicine… )
